The Holy Wednesday of our Week of Passion, Death and Resurrection, is a day in which numerous Brotherhoods make their Station of Penitence during the afternoon until the arrival of the night or the dawn. These brotherhoods are: El Perdón, El Calvario, La Paz, La Misericordia, La Pasión and La Piedad.

Itinerary Hermandad El Perdón 2023
Brotherhood and Confraternity of Nazarenes of Our Father Jesus of Forgiveness before Annas, Mary Most Holy of Dew and Tears and St. Michael the Archangel.
At the beginning of 1990 a group of brothers from different brotherhoods joined together to form a new brotherhood around a Marian image made by one of them, Francisco Romero. They obtained permission from the parish priest of the Church of San Miguel to establish themselves in it, producing the blessing of Mary Most Holy of the Dew on Holy Saturday of that same year. Very soon the provisional statutes were presented to the bishopric. It was in 1995 when the brotherhood was incorporated into the list of brotherhoods of Holy Wednesday.

The Nazarene habit of the Brotherhood of El Perdón is white tunic and cape, black face cover and black and white cincture.

The musical accompaniment for the first paso is a Coronación de Espinas Bugle and Drum Band and for the second paso a “Tubamirum” Music Band from Cañete de las Torres (Córdoba).

The image represents Our Father Jesus of Forgiveness appears before Annas, while he is slapped by a “sayon”. In the scene appears a Sanhedrite, St. Joseph of Arimathea and two other sayons, the author of the Christ is Francisco Romero Zafra in 1994 and the rest of the figures are represented by Manuel Luque Bonillo between the years 1998-2000.

Illustrious, Pious and Secular Brotherhood of Penitence and Brotherhood of Nazarenes of the Via Sacra de Nuestro Padre Jesús del Calvario, Nuestra Señora del Mayor Dolor and San Lorenzo Mártir.
Throughout the first quarter of the 18th century, the religious practice of the Via Crucis reached a strong popular rooting. In this context, the Holy Brotherhood of the Sacred Passion and Via Sacra of Our Lord Jesus Christ was born in the temple of San Lorenzo. On July 20, 1722 the rules of this brotherhood were approved.
In 1918 the brotherhood was reorganized thanks to the initiative of José Morales Torres. In May of that year a general assembly was convened to elect Miguel Carbonell Muñoz as elder brother. The drafting of new statutes was decided.

The image represents Our Father Jesus of Calvary with the cross on his shoulders on his way to Calvary, work of Fray Juan de la Concepción in 1723. It was restored by Amadeo Ruiz Olmos in 1949, Miguel Arjona in 1984 and Enrique Ortega in 2001. In the canopy, Nuestra Señora del Mayor Dolor represented by the artists Francisco Díaz Jiménez and Antonio Castillo Ariza.

Pontifical, Venerable and Illustrious Franciscan Brotherhood and Confraternity of Nazarenes of Our Father Jesus of Humility and Patience and Our Lady of Peace and Hope.
On Maundy Thursday 1939, a group of brothers met in the hermitage of San Juan de Letrán in front of an old seated carving of the Lord of Humility and Patience and decided to form a new corporation, initiating the foundational procedures. On September 26, 1940 the constitutional rules were approved and the brotherhood received the pontifical title requested to the Nuncio of His Holiness.

The Brotherhood of Peace is accompanied in the first step by a Band of Bugles and Drums of Our Lady of Health and Drums Nuestra Señora de la Salud and in the second step by a Municipal Band of Arahal (Seville).

The image represents the moment prior to the Crucifixion, in which, once Jesus has arrived at Calvary, a Roman soldier begins to strip him of his clothes, while a Sanhedrite offers him a potion to mitigate his pain. Behind this main scene appear the images of the two thieves: Dismas, in sign of repentance looking up to heaven and Gestas looking down, tormented. Behind
behind them, a soldier on horseback orders a thief to begin the crucifixion. Next to them, Simon of Cyrene (self-portrait of the author) deposits the cross carried by the Nazarene on his way to Golgotha. The title of this work is by Juan Martínez Cerillo in 1943 and the mystery is by Antonio Bernal Redondo in 1997.

Pious Brotherhood of the Blessed Sacrament, Holy Martyrs of Cordoba and brotherhood of Nazarenes of the Holy Christ of Mercy and Our Lady of Tears in his helplessness.
Merged with Santísimo Sacramento of 1534 and Santos Mártires 1773.
The decision to start the brotherhood and the first procession, held on Holy Wednesday 1937. On the material level, the Holy Christ of Mercy was carried on the step of the Sacred Heart of Jesus given by the Jesuit fathers of San Hipolito, was illuminated by the arboreal candelabra of the step of Mary Help of Christians.

The image represents the Mannerist Crucifixion of unknown author of the late sixteenth century or early seventeenth century deeply remodeled in 1939 by Rafael Diaz Peno and restored and repolychromed in 1983 by Rafael Rivera Valle. The Dolorosa under canopy, is a work of unknown authorship probably made in the seventeenth century. The bust is made of terracotta and was remodeled by Rafael Diaz Fernandez in 1958. It would be successively intervened by Camacho Melero in 1978 and Ignacio Torronteras in 1983.

Very Illustrious and Fervent Brotherhood and Brotherhood of Nazarenes of Our Father Jesus of the Passion, Mary Most Holy of Love and St. John the Evangelist.
The drafting of the statutes were approved in March 1939, although it was not until November 6, 1940 that the brotherhood was canonically raised. However, that same year, the venerated effigy of Jesus of the Passion makes its first Penitence Station on the night of Holy Tuesday through the streets of the neighborhood, as in 1940.

Claretian Brotherhood and Confraternity of the Holy Christ of Mercy and Mary Most Holy of Life, Sweetness and Our Hope.
It was founded in 1972 in the Parish of San Antonio Maria Claret, in the neighborhood of Las Palmeras of our capital. In 2002 it was confirmed its canonical religious enclosure and its recognition as a Public Association of the Church with legal personality and renewal of statutes.
